How the rankings work

Organized by exam

Topnotchers and school performance are always displayed under the same selected licensure examination. BoardResults does not combine schools or topnotchers across different professions for these exam pages.

PRC topnotcher data

We use PRC’s official topnotcher entries, ranks and rating percentages, show at most 10 candidates per PRC section, number the displayed list 1–10, and alphabetize candidates when their rating percentage is the same.

BoardResults school ranking

Within the selected exam, schools are separated into 100+, 30–99 and 10–29 examinee groups, then sorted by pass rate, examinee count and passer count.

BoardResults pass-rate ranking

Pass rate equals official passers divided by official examinees. Only examinations with at least 100 examinees appear in the site-wide pass-rate comparison.
